The Beatles Story and British Music Experience
The Beatles Story is an award-winning interactive exhibition which will take you on an atmospheric journey into the life, times, culture and music of The Fab Four. It reveals how four young lads from Liverpool were propelled to the dizzy heights of worldwide fame and fortune to become the greatest band of all time. The exhibition links the story of The Beatles, their early lives, fame and combined creativity to selected areas of the National Curriculum: history, literacy, art and music to actively encourage and involve children in their own learning.
In the afternoon, visit the British Music Experience which is a unique learning resource and is dedicated to the history of popular music in Britain. State of the art effects and iconic memorabilia show how music has influenced the last 70 years of British culture. Located in Liverpool’s historic Cunard Building, visitors travel through eight interactive exhibitions on a trip through British music history against a social and political backdrop. Each exhibition explores different British music genres; starting in 1945 with rock and roll, then progressing to the Psychedelia of the 1960s, Glam rock and Punk of the 70s and 80s, before finishing with the Cool Britannia of the 90’s.
