Film Buff to IT Nut
In the world of Cinematography, Television and New Media, amazing developments have taken place and today’s students have a better understanding of how technology has played its part in their daily lives. That is why a day exploring the National Media Museum is a must for students of Film and Media Studies, Design and Technology and ICT.
Situated in the heart of Bradford, UNESCO City of Film, the Museum’s aim is to be the best museum in world for inspiring people to learn about, engage with and create media. There are seven floors of traditional and interactive galleries to investigate the science and technology behind TV, film and photography. There are two gallery spaces that display a changing programme of exhibitions and also a fully functioning IMAX theatre, which was the first to open in the UK.

For students considering a career in TV, Film or Media this is the perfect platform to engage their interest. For all other subject areas the Museum provides a motivating environment in which to study outside the classroom.
In addition to the subjects already mentioned the Museum also runs sessions that incorporate Science, History and Mathematics.
